Our Client is mid-way through an exciting period of transition, resetting foundations, team building and preparing a solid platform for further international expansion through an M&A led growth strategy.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this new role is an important hire in the development of the Finance Team.
The role will entail both management accounting for one UK business unit (Finance Lead) within the group alongside Financial Reporting & Business Partnering for the remaining three UK businesses.
The role will support the Financial Controller to deliver monthly & annual financial reporting to agreed timeframes.
Cost control and reporting of performance versus budget, contracted spend and budget headroom, alongside direction on potential mitigation action, will form an important part of the role – this is an area of development where value can be added through new or improved system design to support the Leadership Team.
Key duties will include:
- Management Accountant / Financial Control ownership for one UK site within the Group
- Supporting the Financial Controller to delivery Financial Reporting to agreed timetable
- Supporting the Financial Controller in the development and implementation of improved systems & controls
- VAT compliance for UK businesses
- Monthly reporting suite to highlight cost v budget for various business units and functions alongside business partnering with budget owners to control costs
- Ownership and reporting of credit card spend / travel & subsistence budget
- Business partnering Site Leads at all UK sites, communicating monthly trading results and highlighting improvement opportunities
- Oversight and development of more junior members of the finance team
- Ad hoc reports / analysis & projects to support the business

Salary & Benefits:
- Salary up to £55,000
- Hybrid Working (2 days remote/home working)
