The Company

Our client, is a highly regarded and well established, medium firm of accountants, employing over 100 staff in multiple office locations across Cumbria and SW Scotland.  Currently looking to expand their Carlisle team, ideally with someone part or recently qualified ACA seeking that next step or exposure to a new firm.

The Role

This is a great opportunity for a team player who is ready to take on new challenges, is forward thinking and open to ideas to help and support a diverse range of clients and gain a diverse and interesting caseload. Key elements to the role include:

  • Carrying out audit fieldwork across a wide range of sectors and assisting junior audit members.
  • Completion of audit files for manager review
  • Wide variety of work on offer, including non-audit work for clients, corporate finance work, project work and management accounts.

What skills & experience are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in auditing and accounting gained within a professional practice environment.  Corporation tax training will be provided.
  • ACA part or fully qualified
  • A clean driving licence, as travel to client premises is required. 
  • Good communication skills
  • Good time management & organisational skills

What salary and benefits are being offered?

  • Flexible working options: core hours are 10am – 12pm and 2pm – 4pm Monday to Friday.
  • Outside these hours, you can work the hours that suit you between 8am and 6pm.
  • Up to 30 paid holidays plus bank holidays plus up to 5 flexi days plus an additional day following the new year bank holiday.
  • Paid overtime or time taken off in lieu.
