Accountant - Penrith

Our client is a medium sized, independently owned manufacturing company based in Cumbria.  The Finance Director has created this role within the finance team due to business growth and to support with ongoing improvements and efficiencies with their current accounting software, systems, processes, automation and generally bolstering the day to day financial operations. 

What type of person would this suit?

This role will suit a hands on, enthusiastic 'qualified by experience' accountant, someone who can support the overall team with end to end accounting; transactional, month end and management accounts.  Opportunity to develop and grow and take on increased higher level responsibility and financial reporting, supporting the FD.

What skills and experience does the role require?

• Ability to produce a set of management accounts is essential.   
• Strong systems ability and an appetite to lead an upgrade.
• Excellent MS Excel skills and ability to manipulate and analyse data
• Strong communicator

Competitive salary, DOE.

Permanent full time role, working 37.5 hours (Monday to Friday).  Reduced/flexible hours will be considered (minimum 30 hours).
